Andy Kemp RGN, has been a Registered Nurse for over 20 years, for most of this time he has worked in acute and critical medicine and surgery across military, private and NHS services.  He finished his career in the NHS as the Operating Theatre Services Manager for one of the largest acute NHS Trusts in the UK.  He now practices as a consultant with Gateway Health Ltd. 

Andy is one of the only registered nurses in the UK to have achieved a masters level qualification in obesity surgery in the USA.  He is on the expert panel for Anne Diamond’s "Fat Happens" web site, where he also answers monthly chat room questions about obesity surgery, band adjustments and weight loss programmes.

Andy can advise on a range of issues within the area of obesity, its implications and the treatment options available for individuals who are exploring medical and surgical methods of reducing and controlling excess weight; or those already on weight loss programmes simply looking for advice.

His sessions are very popular and he offers a thorough understanding of the benefits, risks and problems involved in this subject area.
